Dr. Deborah Hill has served in education as a Teacher, Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Director of Federal/State Programs, Adjunct Professor, and Educational Mentor over the last two decades. During her tenure, Dr. Hill made an indelible impact on those she interacted with as she leveraged her experience and leadership prowess as a results-oriented administrator. Some of her contributions include refining student instruction, directing community family services, partnering with universities, and providing school and district leadership. She currently serves as the CEO of ABC’s of Parent Engagement Consulting Firm, providing school personnel with strategies and resources to increase parent engagement in their institutions.

Dr. Hill has found a true passion in helping to increase student achievement by partnering with parents and community members. She believes parents are the “key to successful children.” She focuses on empowering school personnel to identify ways to support parents as they navigate the educational system. The ultimate message is that when successful parent engagement exists, their efforts transform the education and lives of children.

As a passionate educator, Dr. Hill has presented at conferences and events throughout the state and at regional levels. She is a member of the American Association of School Administrators, the Illinois Association of School Administrators, and the Illinois Association of School Board Officials.

Dr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Speech Communications from the University of Minnesota-Morris. She earned a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Roosevelt University. In 2013, she obtained her Doctorate from DePaul University in Educational Leadership.

She is now a sought-after speaker and trainer, spreading the news about the keys to maximizing parent engagement.
